Hepscott WI

THE June meeting of Hepscott WI was the occasion of our popular photographic competition.

Once again, Mr David Illingworth, of Morpeth Camera Club, and his wife Elaine, Chairman of Cramlington Camera Club, kindly agreed to judge the entries.

The subject was Transport and members used their creative skills to photograph a wide range of transport, enhanced by witty and amusing titles.

Mr Illingworth commented on each photograph, offering compliments and constructive criticism in equal measure.

The Judges’ Prize was awarded to Linda Wadge for her photograph of the ultra modern Tube Train in Sydney, Australia, and the Members’ Prize went to Kate Booth for Bicycle Study. The most entertaining photograph of the evening came from Heather Stonebank, featuring one snail hitching a ride on the back of another and aptly entitled Snail Trail.

Our next meeting will be the Summer Soiree on Tuesday, July 16.
